During the bushcraft day, the Full Day Bushcraft Experience course imparts various skills. These include understanding natural surroundings, building shelters using natural materials, and lighting fires using methods such as flint and steel, fire steel, and the friction fire bow and drill. The course also teaches the selection of appropriate tinders for fire-making, sourcing, collecting, filtering and purifying water, making natural cord or string, and creating camp gadgets for suspending pots over the fire.
